Hi, I'm Adam.
Moving forward, it’ll be about you. However, here’s a bit about me.
Educationally speaking, I hold a doctoral degree in higher education and social change, a master’s degree in marital and family therapy, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Additionally, I've completed certification programs in both sex addiction training and positive psychology.
I began my professional career as an elementary school teacher in South Central Los Angeles in 2002. In 2011, I transitioned away from teaching and into the field of mental and emotional health. Initially I was drawn toward the addiction population and worked for an addiction treatment center for 6 years before starting a private practice.
Over the years it became more and more clear to me that when people say they are suffering, what they are really saying is that they don’t have the right information. Whether it be through addictions, panic issues, procrastination, shame attacks, numbness, relationship struggles – whatever is causing dissatisfaction in someone’s life – can almost always be targeted and addressed through understanding what material in the mind is holding someone back from seeing a different perspective. By identifying what you're doing, thinking, feeling, and how you’re creating your reality negatively, you can unlock the ability to be the intentional architect of your life, as opposed to being a prisoner within it. And, as your coach, we'll do that work together.
I am constantly on the path to learning new ways to bring deeper elements of awareness to myself and to my clients. It is natural for us to continue to spiral upward as one’s awareness deepens. There is no end to the quest. Why not do it more efficiently and happily?
