Hi, I'm Adam.

Moving forward, the focus will be on you, but here is a brief overview of my background.

I hold a doctoral degree in higher education and social change, a master’s degree in marital and family therapy, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I have also completed advanced training in sex addiction and positive psychology.

I began my career as an elementary school teacher in South Central Los Angeles in 2002. In 2011, I transitioned into mental and emotional health, initially working in addiction treatment for six years before establishing my private practice.

Over time, I observed a consistent pattern: psychological suffering is often rooted in incomplete or misapplied information. Whether the issue presents as addiction, anxiety, avoidance, shame, or relational difficulty, it is typically maintained by unexamined patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior. When these patterns are identified and understood, new perspectives, new choices, and new realities become available.

This work is about shifting from automatic reactivity to intentional self-leadership. Rather than feeling confined by your internal experience, you can learn to relate to it differently and act with greater clarity and purpose. As your coach, we will do that work together.

I remain actively engaged in ongoing learning and refinement of these methods. Growth is an iterative process, and one that can be approached with both efficiency and a greater sense of ease.
